Kanye West to Perform at the Grammys
After six years away, Kanye West is officially returning to perform on the Grammys stage, and he’s doubling up on the live set.
The 21-time Grammy winner will perform not once, but twice, at this year’s ceremony, the Recording Academy announced Tuesday (Feb. 3) in an email to BET.com.
In addition to a never-before-seen solo show, West will join Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney and Rihanna to perform the 26-year-old singer’s latest, “FourFiveSeconds.” The song debuted two weeks ago, following the release of West’s other McCartney collaboration, “Only One.”
McCartney, RiRi, and Yeezy have won more than 40 Grammys between the them. This year, West’s “Bound 2,” featuring Charlie Wilson, is up for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Rihanna also snagged a nod in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category for “Monster” with Eminem.
Previously announced performers include Usher, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell, Janelle Monáe and Sam Smith as well as Common with John Legend and possibly Beyoncé. LL Cool J will return as host.
The 57th annual Grammy Awards air live from the Los Angeles Staples Center Sunday (Feb. 8) at 8 p.m.
