Chicago Gun Violence: 12 People Wounded This Past Weekend

Twelve people were wounded in gun violence in Chicago this past weekend.

In Chicago, the weekend ended with 12 people wounded from gun violence throughout the city from Friday to Sunday night. 

At 4:10 a.m. Sunday morning, a man in his 40s was shot in his right leg during an attempted robbery. He was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition. On Saturday night, a 23-year-old man was struck in the chest while standing on a sidewalk after two men approached and fired several shots at him, according to NBC Chicago.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the upper right leg and ankle around 8:30 p.m. Saturday as he was walking down a sidewalk. Police are also investigating the shooting of a 48-year-old man who was a tourist from Texas staying in a local hotel. He was shot in his chest and shoulder in what police are calling a narcotics-related incident.

A shooting that took place at a South Side restaurant on Friday night left a 25-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man wounded. The woman was shot in the head and taken in serious condition to the hospital. The man was struck in his chest.
