The singer set to star in a comedy based on his life.

Cee Lo Green is expanding his TV résumé to include sitcom star.

The Voice
mentor is set to star in a comedy project loosely based on his real-life relationship with his ex-wife and children. The multi-camera series, from Sony TV and studio-based Happy Madison, was co-created by comedy writing veteran Ali Leroi (co-creator of Everybody Hates Chris and developer of Are We There Yet?), who will also write the comedy.

Green will star as a version of himself trying to balance his career as a top recording artist and his frenetic home life. A deal for the project is in final negotiations.

This will be the “Forget You” singer’s second acting role since his appearance in the film Sparkle.
