Latto Clarifies 'Put It On The Floor' Bar
Last week, during her performance at Coachella, Atlanta rapper Latto debuted "Put It On Da Floor," and many fans felt it was a diss track directed towards another female rapper, but it also made mention of Coi Leray, and she wasn't too pleased.
In the rap, Latto says, “Smokin’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray.”
Coi took issue with the line and took to Twitter to air out her grievances.
“Latto bye . 😴 here you go taking about my body. Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY.”
Many of Coi's fans tried to convince her the line wasn't a diss at all, but Latto put an end to all assumptions by addressing the issue herself.
Gracing the Coachella stage once more on Sunday (April 23), Latto delivered a performance that culminated with her latest single, "Put It on Da Floor." As the final notes of the song faded away, the Atlanta rapper seized the opportunity to address the controversy sparked by Coi the previous weekend, which centered around allegations of body shaming.
“Aye, Coi,” Latto said on stage. "By the way, I love your body, baby.”
As the performance made its rounds on social media, Coi popped back on Twitter to react.
“It was the diss record with my name on it that confused me. Much love to Latto! Appreciate the compliment," the "Players" rapper tweeted.
Hopefully, we'll get to hear these two on a record together soon!
