Fight Breaks Out During Chattanooga Church’s Sunday Sermon

The fight took place at Olivet Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In the New Testament, the laying on of hands was associated with Christ healing the sick. Mark 16:17-18, in particular, reads: “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Well, this past Sunday at Olivet Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, hands were thrown, not laid upon.

In footage obtained by TMZ, one man, seemingly unprovoked, starts swinging on another man in the front row, prompting retaliation that led to a full-out brawl that ended up continuing off-screen.

Bishop Kevin Adams tells TMZ he tried to stop the fight to no avail, saying, "Stop it, Marcus. Marcus, come on." It wasn’t long before the Church's live stream feed was cut. Afterward, the Bishop explained that the man in the white t-shirt had just gotten out of rehab when he went for the youth pastor in the front row.

The Bishop went on to say that he didn't know where he was, alluding to a possible relapse. Once they were able to calm the man down, he started crying. The Bishop says the man said he's going back to rehab, and the church is fully supporting him.
