After a tumultuous week for Chicago hip-hop icon Kanye West, it’s safe to say everyone needs to take a breather away from the GOOD Music leader’s internet chaos for the next few days.

Or so we thought before Charlamagne Tha God pointed out on Monday (May 7) that things could be taking a turn for the better when it comes to Yeezy’s “free-thinking” controversy.

The Breakfast Club host and book author posted a recent tweet from Kanye to his Instagram, which showed a screenshot of ‘Ye’s recent Google searches. Names like revered attorney and political activist Angela Rye, comedian and actress Amanda Seales and Palestininan-American activist Linda Sarsour were among the list.

Charlamagne brought another industry mate who shared some time with Kanye in recent weeks and voiced his concern over the controversy: self-dubbed King of the South, T.I.

“Hey [T.I.] couple more camera flashes and I think he will be OK,” Charlamagne said to Tip, referencing the cellular antidote in Jordan Peele’s Get Out horror flick used to temporarily snap Blacks out of the abysmal sunken place.

The Black privilege author might just have a point, too, considering that ‘Ye has kept his Twitter off of the problematic side for the past couple of days. Aside from promoting new Yeezy season gear, The Life Of Saint Pablo emcee has turned to philosophizing about good energy and inspiration.
