Kanye West, Rick Rubin Working on Justin Bieber's Album

The Biebs is putting the finishing touches on new release.

Kanye West is busier than we thought. So far the Chicago MC executive produced Big Sean’s latest, and will earn the same credit on Rihanna’s R8 release. Add that to his own album, So Help Me God, plus his help on Tyga’s still-delayed project, and one would assume Yeezy's schedule is too packed for more.

Nope, not even a little bit.

West and Rick Rubin are working on Justin Bieber’s forthcoming LP. The pop star shared the details during a long talk with USA Today. “I’m finishing up the album now, working with Kanye and Rick,” he said. “I’m not rushing it, I'll just wait until it's totally done.”

The 21-year-old is coming out on the other side of more than a few bumps, with a lot to get off his chest. In the interview, Bieber talks about learning from his mistakes, and putting his all into the music. “My whole direction has changed,” Bieber revealed. “What you are thinking about all the time is what you write, and now that I'm thinking about more positive things, it completely changes my music."

He continued, “I had to re-do my whole (new) album. It was done but it didn't match up to where I am now and where my head's at. I want to tell my story, but I also want to give people hope. I lost hope for a while, I was in a dark place, but it's about getting out of that rut. It's about knowing there's sunshine on the other side.”

The Canadian singer described the album as “different,” a vague term he acknowledges as a cliché among artists. “That's what everyone says. But it is different, it's a grown-up version of Justin and I think people will be shocked.”
