Sanaa Lathan Flirts With Boss , Whitney Houston's Sparkle Gets Pushed
Sanaa Lathan will be attracting a man of power in the next season of Boss, the Golden Globe-winning series about Chicago's political system. The Love & Basketball star will play the "incorruptible chief of staff" to series lead Kelsey Grammar's character, Tony Kane, mayor of the Windy City. Grammar, naturally, will become obsessed with her. Not sure if this storyline will wind up with a happy ending or a restraining order, but Lathan will be a regular on the second season of the show.
On the big screen front, fans will have to wait a whole extra week to see Whitney Houston's big-screen comeback in Sparkle, which stars Jordin Sparks in the title role and Whitney as her mother, with original music composed by R. Kelly. Sony Pictures has pushed the release date back from August 10 to August 17. Not sure how to deal with the delay? How about using that week to listen to the extended version of "Trapped in the Closet."
