R. Kelly's Brother Can't Say 'For Sure' If He Is A Pedophile But Confirms He Married Aaliyah
Surviving R. Kelly aired over 2 weeks ago and people are still talking about the longtime allegations against R. Kelly. His brother, who was interviewed in the Lifetime docuseries, is speaking out again and making some contradictory statements.
When asked by CBS Chicago if his brother was pedophile, he answered, “I mean, I can’t honestly say that for sure. I just know that he has a problem with control. I love my brother, but he do have a problem, and if anybody out there love him, they should want to see him get help.”
However, when mentioning his brother marrying a 15-year-old Aaliyah when he was 27, Carey said, “He married Aaliyah. It don’t get no truer than that.”
On August 31, 1994, R. Kelly illegally married Aaliyah. Her age was listed as 18, but the marriage was annulled in February of 1995.VIBE published the wedding certificate, even though both Aaliyah and R. Kelly had denied the marriage.

And I said, ‘Hey man, you know, God gave you another chance, you know. God gave you another chance. And his arrogance, and people not believing different things that he’s accused of said, ‘God didn’t give me another chance. I gave me another chance. My money gave me another chance.’ Those are the words that he said to me, and I looked at the phone like, ‘Are you serious?’”
Carey continued, “These allegations that you was accused of are very serious, and for you to escape through the loophole and still get another chance, that’s maybe a sign from God that you need to change your way of living, change your habits and change the things that you’re doing that’s causing people to bring cases up on you like that."
