Wayment: The Internet Is Convinced That Idris Elba Just Confirmed That He’s The New James Bond
Folks are understandably freaking out.
The rumors that Idris Elba may star as the next James Bond are heating up, and now, even the British-born actor is fanning those flames.
Current Bond actor Daniel Craig still has at least one more series film to star in but after that, it’s all wide open for Elba, who has been heavily considered by the film’s decision makers to be the next Agent 007.
Via Twitter, Elba tweeted a selfie pic of himself and the caption, “my name’s Elba, Idris Elba.”

But... Elba also tweeted this hours after the Bond pic and made sure to pin it...
Maybe he was just yanking his fan's chain. Or maybe, just maybe, he's starting to warm up to the idea of taking on the iconic role. We really hope it's the latter.
