Diddy Doesn't Put 'Titles' on Relationship with 'Best Friend' Yung Miami
Music mogul Diddy, 53, and City Girls rap star Yung Miami, 29, turned heads when they arrived together on the famed staircase and white carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday night.
The on-again-off-again couple smiled and held hands as they posed for photos.
Red carpet host La La Anthony got the Bad Boy founder to sweat a little when she asked about their relationship status saying, "Do y'all officially go together real bad?"
While the Grammy-winning mogul tried to dodge the question and defer to Yung Miami, whom he called by her real name, Caresha, he eventually answered.
“We definitely go together real bad!” he said before clarifying, “She’s my date for the night. … We don’t put titles on it. Everybody wants us to put a title on it, we don’t put titles. This like my best friend in the world, one of the most beautiful people God has blessed me with. And I’m blessed that she’s my date tonight.”
Yung Miami agreed, saying, “Yeah, it’s just a good date night.”
Diddy looked amazing on the red carpet in an extraordinary all-black ensemble from his fashion brand Sean John. Per Billboard, he thanked legendary creative director June Ambrose for bringing the look to life. When commenting on the theme: Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, Diddy said, "I got a chance to spend time with Karl [Lagerfeld] when I was designing Sean John, just as a fellow designer. And he was so creative, and he had so much attention to detail."
The night marked the City Girls rapper making her debut at the MET Gala. During their interview, the pair cooed compliments at each other. “It feels like a dream come true,” said the 'Caresha, Please,’ host. “I’m like, ‘OK, you got through it.’ It was good, it was perfect! It was everything.”
Diddy then cut in to compliment her, saying. “You were perfect. She’s gorgeous, stunning, incredible."
