'That S**T Doesn't Work All The Time': Michelle Obama Kept It All The Way 100 With This Advice
Michelle Obama is no longer in the White House and it’s apparently allowing her to keep it real on her book tour.
During a stop at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the former First Lady said that marriage inequality can’t be solved by women “leaning in.”
In front of a large crowd, Obama was commenting whether women can experience equality in both their marriage and workplace.
“Marriage still ain’t equal, y’all,” she said. “It ain’t equal. I tell women that whole ‘you can have it all’ — mmm, nope, not at the same time, that’s a lie. It’s not always enough to lean in because that s**t doesn’t work.”
Michelle then caught herself, but the crowd burst into cheers and applause anyway, “I thought we were at home, y’all,” she joked. “I was gettin’ real comfortable up in here. All right, I’m back now. Sometimes that stuff doesn’t work.”
Social media went wild over the hilarious slip up
