Frank Kaminsky Is Over Andrew Harrison's Slur
Wisconsin star Frank Kaminsky's full focus is on Monday night's national championship game against Duke — not Kentucky guard Andrew Harrison's remark about him.
After Wisconsin dashed Kentucky's perfect season quest Saturday night via a 71-64 win, Harrison was caught on a hot mic at the postgame press conference muttering "F**k that n***a" when a reporter asked about Kaminsky.
But that same night, Harrison made it a point to get in touch with Kaminsky and the Associated Press Player of the Year is over it.
"He reached out to me, we talked about it, [I'm] over it," Kaminsky told reporters Saturday, as reported by ESPN. "Nothing needs to be made out of it."
Harrison also made a public apology on his Twitter account Sunday morning.
"First I want to apologize for my poor choice of words used in jest towards a player I respect and know," Harrison tweeted about Kaminsky. "When I realized how this could be perceived I immediately called big Frank to apologize and let him know I didn't mean any disrespect. We had a good conversation and I wished him good luck in the championship game Monday."
With Saturday night's loss, Kentucky (38-1) suffered its first and only defeat of the 2014-15 season, failing to get back to the national championship game.
