Update: Young Thug Arrested on 'Terroristic Threats' Charges
UPDATE: Pigeons & Planes obtained the warrant for Young Thug’s arrest. The warrant says, “The accused threatened to shoot victim in the face with the purpose of terrorizing Mr. Chris May.” Chris May, who is the Director of Security at the Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, stated in the warrant that the threat was made while he was being escorted out of the mall. PREVIOUS: On Wednesday morning, Young Thug was arrested by U.S. Marshals who were responding to a warrant issued by Dunwoody police, reports The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Thug, who is 22 years old, was arrested around 6 a.m. at a home in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Here’s what Jim Joyner, spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, said in a news release:
"Williams was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging him with terroristic threats stemming from an incident that occurred with the jurisdiction of the Dunwoody police.”
There has been no further information on the origins of the incident or the details of his arrest. He will be transferred to DeKalb County jail for his initial appearance and bond hearing.
