Tinashe’s Comment On North West Has Fans Livid

Another R&B singer also jumped into the mix.

R&B’s Tinashe has kept a relatively low profile as of late, but that all changed after a comment she recently made about Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West’s 6-year-old daughter, North West.

  • Yesterday, the Kardashian-West clan faced criticism after clips of North performing a rap song at Paris Fashion Week hit viral status online. The song turned out to be a remix of aspiring child rapper ZaZa's viral hit, “What I Do.” This was later clarified by Kim, who responded to a post from the 5-year-old’s team asking for Kim and Kanye to properly credit her as the original creator.

“We love you, North is a huge fan and records in the studio all the time with her dad and is inspired by ZaZa and loves Lay Lay too! Today's performance of North’s remix of ZaZa’s song was something she asked to do at the last minute and a complete surprise,” Kim explained in the comment section of ZaZa’s team post. “I didn’t mean to not give credit where credit was due. Would love for the girls to meet soon.”

  • In the midst of Kim’s clarification, fans discovered that Tinashe had also inserted herself into the discussion. The “Save Room For Us” singer chimed in under ZaZa’s comment where she wrote “North West wishes.”

However, once singer and model Justine Skye, a longtime friend of the Kardashian family, caught wind of Tinashe’s comment, she stepped into the chat as well. “You mad?” Justine posed to Tinashe, who has yet to clarify what she meant with her remark.
