Sherri Shepherd Shares Candid Video of Her Rocking an Old Pair of Jeans from 2007
Sherri Shepherd is over the moon excited about her fitness journey.
The daytime talk show host recently hit a health milestone by fitting into an old pair of Arden B. jeans from 2007, and she can barely contain her joy. The star took to Instagram in a candid reel to explain to her followers what this accomplishment means and how she did it.
While standing in front of a full-length mirror, the star noted that having a fitness routine and eating nutritious food has helped her see changes in her body.
“I could not wear them for years because I hate getting back so much of my weight, but this time I said, ‘I am going to try it’, and I am so excited that they fit!” she captioned the post. “I just kept saying in my mind, ‘hard work, hard work, keep focusing on the hard work’ and I got into these jeans!”
Additionally, she said that drinking bone broth has been beneficial.
Shepherd has been open about other health struggles throughout her career, including her bout with type 2 diabetes in 2007. During that time, she told PEOPLE that her son, Jeffrey Jr., inspired her to consider better health choices.
"I had this vision of my son at 5 years old, holding his teddy bear, and he was crying because he was trying to figure out where heaven was, because that's where everybody said mommy was," Shepherd said. "And that woke me up. Anything about my son... I jolted up, and I said, 'I've got to make a change, because I don't want to die.’”
She explained Jeffrey Jr. 's support: "He's my constant encouragement, and I'm inspired by the fact that I can now engage in more activities with him and enjoy higher energy levels."
