It’s prom season ya’ll, and Sherri Shepherd’s son Jeffrey Jr. 18, whom she shares with ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley, 56, is the latest teen of a celeb to experience one of the most-talked-about high school event's every student looks forward to.

The Daytime Emmy winner, 56, took to Instagram on Saturday to share the joy surrounding her son's big night. 

And no prom would be complete without proud parents capturing the moments step-by-step leading up to party time, and this was no exception for Shepherd and Tarpley. The evening proved to be a little too much for the talk show host and comedian to bare as she began to cry tears of joy. "Mom why are you crying? It's just my prom!" Watching my son put a corsage on his date's wrist and helping her into the car… whew I think I did alright! #promnight", the caption on the carousel of images read.

Shepherd is known to always bring it in the fashion department on the Sherri show, and Jeffrey followed in his famous mother's footsteps for an evening of style. Shepherd kicked off the slew of images highlighting Jeffrey's dapper flare in a tasteful black tux fit for royalty with a matching blue bow tie and pocket square. Jeffrey added a fresh touch to his look by rocking a classic pair of white sneakers.

In another image, Sherri channels her barber skills as the mother-son duo stands in a bathroom while she uses a curling sponge in his hair to get his coils and curls just right. 

Known always to pack a smile, Shepherd took full advantage of Jeffrey's night to remember by flashing her pearly white as she pinned a white corsage on her son and another as they stood together with her arm around him. The star rounds out the series of images with a video of the magical pinning moment.
