Diggy Simmons Prepping Fall Album Release
Last week, Diggy Simmons dropped the first single "Copy, Paste" from his upcoming album just in time for the Memorial Day weekend holiday. For the young star, the release of this first joint is the official kickoff to his highly anticipated rap debut. Aside from being the product of a well-known hip-hop lineage, the rap rookie has some big names in the game behind him.
"I feel he’s going to shake up the crowd," says Violator Management CEO Chris Lighty, who says the album should come out sometime this fall. "[Diggy] wants it to be super-hot. I think the fans are gong to be very pleased."
Simmons got picked up by Atlantic Records back in March of 2010, and has been hard at work in the studio since. Lighty says Diggy just wanted everything to be right and has put the time to good use. "He wasn't gonna just let us throw an album together. We could have capitalized on his buzz earlier, but he's a tough cookie to crack."
