Report: West Coast Rap Pioneer C-Knight On Life Support
C-Knight, a member of the group Dove Shack and West Coast hip-hop pioneer, is reportedly on life support after suffering a stroke.
According to TMZ, the artist (born Arnez Blount) was hospitalized on October 18 due to complications from diabetes. C-Knight’s heart subsequently stopped after suffering a stroke, and he was resuscitated and placed on life support.
Bo-Roc, a Dove Shack member, shared a message on Instagram on October 22 about the situation, requesting well-wishes and prayers.

“I’m literally begging all who see’s this post to pray for my brother from another mother and one of my closest friends in the world Arnez a.k.a C Knight from the Dove Shack,” he captioned the post. “He’s the founder of the Dove Shack and the reason I had the opportunity to make #summertimeinthelbc for the world so please please send him positive energy and healing prayers.”
Dove Shack’s most memorable hit was “Summertime in the LBC,” which appeared on both their debut album, This Is The Shack, and the soundtrack to The Show. A year earlier, they debuted as a group on Warren G’s album Regulate… G Funk Era in 1994.
