Beyoncé Serenades Jay Z With New Song, 'Die With You'
Beyoncé and Jay Z are clearly over their seven year itch. The couple, whose marital discord — real or fabricated — was the subject of many headlines last year are now stronger than ever. To commemorate their seventh wedding anniversary, Bey has released a new song serenading her hubby and even used the opportunity to big-up his recently-launched music streaming service TIDAL.
On the track, which was teased on her Facebook page but available in its entirety exclusively on TIDAL, Bey sweetly confesses, “I wake up just to sleep with you/ I open my eyes so I can see with you/ And I live so I can die with you." Some more touching lines from the song include, “I don’t have a reason to be if I can’t be with you,” “I open my eyes so I can see with you,” and ”I live so I can die with you.”
A clip released along with the song shows Bey at the piano, John Legend-style, and was intimately filmed by Jay Z and features no backing vocals or instrumentation.
As of now, it's not clear whether the song will be available on iTunes or other music services, or if fans will have to throw down for a subscription to TIDAL to hear it. Also not clear is whether the song is part of a new album or just a stand-alone single to commemorate the couple's special day.
Either way, it's a beauty and worth heading over to TIDAL to check out for yourself.
