It was a party for the ages. DJ D-Nice did not allow a nationwide quarantine for the coronavirus to get in the way of jamming on Instagram Live.

For over seven hours straight on Saturday (March 21), D-Nice played all the hits from R&B to reggae to house music. The party was dubbed “Homeschoolin”  and many celebrities stopped by. According to online reports, Oprah, Janet Jackson, Diddy, Naomi Campbell, Will Smith, Rihanna, Michelle Obama, as well as presidential candidates Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, all tuned in.
At one point, he reached 100k views on Instagram Live, which was a record for the social media platform. See below:

  • D-Nice provided a well-needed escape from the stress of the coronavirius. Social distancing dance parties are becoming a nationwide trend as people find ways to stay connected due to the self-quarantine that has affected most of the country.
According to The New York Times, over 8,400 people in the United States are infected with the coronavirus and over 140 have died. The number is more than likely higher but the Trump administration’s testing failures have limited medical professionals on the frontlines of the virus.
