Tiffany Haddish Talks Mo’Nique’s Netflix Boycott, Dishes On Her Recent Offer
Tiffany Haddish's star continues to rise with her latest set of good news coming in the form of a Netflix deal to voice a character in their new series Tuca and Bertie.
The news of her latest gig led fans to compare her relationship with the streaming company to that of Mo'Nique's who has since asked her supporters to boycott the service after being low-balled for a potential comedy special. Now, after a fan brought up the situation to the Girls Trip star, she responded in a bluntly clear tweet and Mo'Nique wasted no time in responding.
After the news of Haddish's new opportunity with Netflix went public, a fan took to Twitter to state what she declares to be "facts," after comparing the comedian's deal to that of Amy Schumer. The user claimed that if her offer was "at the level" of Schumer's, who's received millions, she would have the Academy Award-winning actress to thank.
Quickly shooting that assumption down, Haddish replied by stressing that she received and signed her deal long before Mo'Nique's controversy became public knowledge. She also mentioned that while she was not offered "legend money," it is just enough for her.
In an attempt to wish her well, Mo'Nique responded to her tweet, reassuring her that she's "done nothing wrong," and is only making the road a bit easier for those who will come after her.
Soon after the exchange, a rumored figure of $800,000 speculated to be Haddish's offer began making its rounds.

The figure is strictly assumptive and is yet to be proven to be true by neither Haddish nor Netflix.
