Outrage After White College Baseball Player Accused Of Raping Seven Women Is Released On Bond

Clay Conaway reportedly got bail due to his wealthy parents even after he allegedly threatened one of the girls that he'd "put her dead body in a river."

Seven women are accusing an ex-college baseball player of rape and death threats.

  • 22-year-old Clay Conaway was released on $310,000 bail after his wealthy parents put four properties they own up for sale. He was charged with six counts of second-degree rape.

The unnamed seventh alleged victim of Conaway’s hasn’t publicly revealed her name but described horrific encounters when she began dating him in school.

  • “Last time I saw him was when he threatened to put my dead body in the Delaware River,” the woman said in a statement to NBC 10. She also claims that the alleged sexual assault she experienced happened in her off-campus apartment. A university investigation into Conaway eventually led to his expulsion from the school.

“I think it really is a power thing for him... I think as soon as he hears no he just wants to be in control,” she added in speaking to the news station.

The alleged sexual assaults described by the seven women reportedly happened over a five-year span. Conaway pleaded not guilty to the charges and his trial is set for December.
