Update: Three Men Arrested in Connection to Fatal Shooting of Tyson Gay's 15-Year-Old Daughter
Three men have been arrested in relation to the shooting death of Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay's 15-year-old daughter, Trinity Gay.
What's ultra disturbing is that two of those Kentucky men are father and son.
People.com is reporting that Chazarae Taylor, 38, and his son, D'markeo Taylor, 19, were arrested Sunday, having been charged with wanton endangerment in connection to the shooting death of Trinity.
In addition, a third man, Dvonta Middlebrooks, 21, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and wanton endangerment.
The three men were arrested hours after Trinity was caught in crossfire between two vehicles outside of a Kentucky restaurant called Cook Out just before 4:00 a.m. Sunday.
Trinity, who was struck in the neck according to the Associated Press, died at a nearby hospital an hour after being shot.
“I’m so confused. She was just here last week for fall break,” her father told Lex18.com about his daughter's shocking death. “It’s so crazy. I have no idea what happened.”
Condolences from the track and field community have been pouring in since the tragedy yesterday.
Another senseless tragedy due to gun violence. So sad.
