Dwayne Johnson Says He’s Working on Getting His Paris Wax Figure ‘Updated’

The statue faced backlash for making the actor appear significantly lighter than his real skin tone.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is holding his "friends" at Grevin Museum accountable after the institution unveiled a wax figure of the actor, depicting him several shades lighter than his actual skin tone.

Earlier this month, the Paris museum revealed its latest creation: a wax figure of the "Black Adam" star, clad in a blue collared shirt and navy blue chinos. The figure's light-skinned appearance immediately sparked comparisons to Mr. Clean.

Soon after, Johnson re-shared a video from comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr., annihilating the creation, claiming the wax museum made “the Rock look like he David Beckham.” He added, “It looks like The Rock is going to be a part of the royal family.” before asking,  “Did y’all even Google him?”

In the caption of his post, Johnson was a good sport, writing in his caption, “Knew my boy James Andre Jefferson Jr. had this Rock wax statue in his roasting crosshairs.”

The Hollywood star announced, “For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum in Paris France so we can work at ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements — starting with my skin color.” The actor added, “And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink with myself.”
