'Tyler Perry's The Oval': White House Lockdown
The last episode ended with Lena arriving at Hunter's room for a meeting, and we pick up with an answer to last week's question. Is Lena working for Hunter? When they share a passionate kiss, it's clear that she not only works for him but works it for him. Lena tells Hunter that Sam is the one who took her to Jason and provides a video of her interview with the President's son. In the video, Jason clearly states, "My mother tried to kill me." He also says, "My father is a part of this."
Hunter, understandably, cannot let this video see the light of day, and Lena assures him it's the only copy in existence. Has there ever only been one copy of an incriminating video in the history of nighttime dramas? I think not. Lena tabled the topic of Jason in favor of romance. If Victoria is out of the picture, then surely Lena and Hunter can be together, right? Hunter casually brushes her off, saying he still needs time since the block is hot.
After a long day at work, Kyle arrives home to Dale, pouring them a drink. They are nearly immediately interrupted by a knock on the door. It's Donald! Kyle has Dale hide before letting Donald in. Donald interrogates Kyle to confirm he's alone before saying some incriminating things. Donald's plan is for Victoria to be so drugged up that she kills Hunter in a fit of insanity. Then he can be rid of both of them.
Donald is very turned on by his dastardly plans and helps Kyle out of his work clothes and eventually into the bedroom where Dale is hiding. Dale, the genius that he is, forgot to silence his phone, and while Kyle and Donald are in the middle of their tryst, the phone rings, sending Donald into a paranoid panic. Kyle can convince him it's one of his many burner phones. Our Chief of Staff still needs to be smarter to check under the bed!
Donald and Kyle are both called back to the White House. Something is going down, but we'll get to that later. Once they leave, Dale calls Allan and tells him everything he overheard.
Isaac tells Hunter he has tracked down Sam at Richard the butler's house. In the meantime, Eli demands of Hunter where Victoria is. They have a small back and forth before Eli calls, presumably to Victoria's father, and hands the phone to Hunter. Hunter makes the requisite threats with more f-bombs than should be allowed on a streaming network.
As Hunter tells Isaac they're going to war, Eli instructs Max and Bobby to lock the house down and search for Victoria.
Priscilla and Sam are at Richard's house, offering moral support to Richard and Wendy. The three of them get the call to return to the White House. While this is happening, Max meets Antonio and Kareem in their holding cell, and Antonio tells him everything.
In the end, Isaac locates Jason and has him brought back against his will as Bobby uncuffs Victoria from her infirmary bed. She asks him and Max to escort her to the Lincoln Bedroom before suggesting they leave because "All hell is about to break loose in the White House."
The next episode promises a standoff between President Franklin and the entire cast. We can't wait to see how he survives this one!
