The Internet gives everyone an opportunity to learn about anything at any time. This may be a contributing factor to how cultures have crossed more frequently than the pre-social media era.
That said, Black film, television and music, outside of a few examples, is still largely non-existent for a majority of white audiences, so recently, the question was prompted to Twitter on who they believed is the most “Blackfamous” person ever.
According to writer and poet Michael Harriot, “Blackfamous” individuals “would be someone EVERY black person knew but was unknown by EVERY white person.”
