Wakanda For Real? A Black Panther-Inspired Theme Park Is In The Works, And Here Are All The Details
Black Panther set a ton of records and became the highest-grossing Marvel film of all time in its first week.
Now, the movie, or at least something like it, is inspiring a theme park. It’s called Heritage City: The African Kingdoms and Empires Theme Park Project, and it’s created by a group of African people and African-Americans.
Conceptual designs for the project are actually nothing new and began in 2004, however with the success of Black Panther, the initiative is attracting potential developers to actually get it built and completed.
The park is planned to have a theme park with rides and attractions, but also exhibits themed with African kingdoms and empires such as Songhai-Mali, Ghana, Benin, Egypt and Kush.
As for location, Heritage City originally targeted Nigeria as its home, however a delay in making it such has been stalled due to corruption and bureaucratic roadblocks.
