House Speaker Paul Ryan polled fellow GOP Congressional members on whether they would vote for the bill yesterday (March 23). Many members of the the so-called “Freedom Caucus” said they would oppose the proposed legislation because it didn’t fully repeal the Affordable Care Act.

As late as this morning, even more moderate members of the GOP began to waiver their support for the bill. Zero Democrats said they would vote in favor of the AHCA.

President Trump blamed Democrats for the bill’s failure even though at no point did Republicans attempt to work with the left on crafting it. Paul Ryan later told the press that Republicans would evaluate what went wrong and called Friday’s withdrawal “growing pains” that the GOP is going to have to live with.

Of course, Twitter didn’t put it as nicely or innocently as ol’ Paul did. They were, as you’d guess, savage with the bill’s failure. Check out some of the ones that had us dying of laughter below.
