Swizz Beatz Named Global Health Ambassador for New York City
Swizz Beatz has a new gig to add to his resume as he's just been named the first Global Ambassador for the New York City Health and Hospital Corporation and the Fund for HHC. The music producer will help raise awareness and funds for the organization's programs, which include medical, mental, and substance abuse services. He'll also focus on the powers of the arts when used as therapy.
"As an artist, I understand the important role that art can play as part of the healing process," Swizz Beatz said. "In life, it's important to give back, so I am honored to partner with New York City's public hospitals in their mission to provide quality healthcare for all New Yorkers."
Reebok's creative director will slip into his new role on Sept. 27 after a fundraising event that will mark the opening of the new Harlem Hospital Center Mural Pavilion at 7 p.m.
