Report: Trina And Trick Daddy To Replace Rickey Smiley With New Morning Radio Show
It’s seems Trina and Trick Daddy are back on good terms with one another. Or, at least, friendly enough to do business together. While fans will have to wait indefinitely for their promised joint album, TNT, which has been shelved, the rap duo will be returning to the airwaves in a different way: by launching a radio show together.
The Jasmine Brand was the first to report that the OG rappers were seriously considering venturing into radio, and on Monday (Oct. 14), the blog broke the news that Trina and Trick Daddy have reportedly secured a morning slot on Miami’s 99 Jamz station, replacing radio veteran Rickey Smiley. Trina seemed to confirm the news shortly after it broke by retweeting an article from Karen Civil reporting on her new gig.
According to the outlet, their show is slated to air sometime in early 2020.
We may never get new music from these two, but if this radio deal pans out, at least we can count on having them in our ears daily.
