Klay Thompson Being Asked About Scaffolding Safety In This Local News Video Is The Funniest Weird Thing You'll See Today
Local news' "Man on the Street" segments can generate interesting takes sometimes. Especially when the "man on the street" happens to be an NBA All-Star and two-time champion.
That's exactly what happened Monday, when a Fox 5 reporter stopped Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson on a New York City street to speak about a scaffolding collapse, clearly not having the slightest clue that he's an NBA superstar.
As cool, not to mention strange and hilarious, as could be, Thompson rolled with the awkward moment and gave the reporter his scaffolding safety tips.
“I usually observe if the piping and stuff is new,” said Thompson, who was in town due to the Warriors-Brooklyn Nets' game Sunday. “Sometimes, you know, if something looks like it’s been there a while, I try to kind of avoid that.”
Hilarious!
He was identified as "NBA player," under his name, clearly after editors watched the footage. And Thompson speaking about scaffolding spawned these funny reactions.
