Amy Winehouse's first posthumous release has been announced and will help benefit her father's charity. The late British soul singer, who was found dead last month in her London apartment, will appear on the song "Body and Soul" with legendary jazz vocalist Tony Bennett.
The track was set to appear on Bennett's forthcoming album Duets II, but he decided to release it to the public in light of Winehouse's tragic passing, as revealed in an interview on NBC's Today. Proceeds from the song will go to a new charity founded by the late singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, that will help young people in the fight against drug addiction.
While the 27-year-old entertainer had been engaged in a very public struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, the official cause of her death has not yet been revealed.
Bennett recorded "Body and Soul" with the "Rehab" singer in March at London's famed Abbey Road Studios. It is believed to be one of the last completed songs Winehouse recorded. The Duets II album is planned for release in September, and will also feature appearances by Lady Gaga, John Mayer, Mariah Carey and others.
