Jermaine Paul Wins NBC's The Voice

Former Alicia Keys backup singer Jermaine Paul claims top spot in season two.

Jermaine Paul is the winner of The Voice, having emerged victorious at the end of last night's two-hour season finale of the popular NBC singing competition series.
A former backup singer for Alicia Keys, Paul, 33, won the final vote as determined by millions of viewers watching at home. The show's judges didn't contribute to the final decision.
Paul beat out fellow finalists Chris Mann, Juliet Simms and Tony Lucca with his soulful balladry. Country singer Blake Shelton had been his mentor and coach.
The stars came out for the big finale, with performances by recent high school graduate Justin Bieber, blue-eyed soulsters Hall & Oates, rapper Flo Rida and down-home rockers Lady Antebellum.
For claiming the top prize, Paul will receive a recording contract with Universal Republic and $100,000 in cash.
