Big Sean on His Rising Fame: "I Deserve This"
Timing is everything. And Big Sean must have the luck of the PR gods right now. The new artist will premiere "My Last," the first single from his upcoming debut album, on 106 & Park tonight, March 25. On top of being a potentially big song for the Detroit rapper, the No I.D.–produced cut features Chris Brown, who happens to be the only person the media cares about this week (until Charlie Sheen goes off the deep end...again).
Big Sean signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. music label back in 2007 and has since been regarded as a young MC to watch. He is currently gearing up for the summer release of Finally Famous: The Album. “I was meant to inspire people. I was meant to make music," Big Sean said in a statement. "There’s been so many nights where instead of going out I’ve had to work and was depressed, so I feel like I deserve this. This is what I was meant to do.”
And tonight, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper will help BET close out its March Music Month programming with a bang.
