In conjunction with Quality Control’s 36-track compilation album due to arrive Friday (Aug. 16), the two released a brutal and bloody, Scarface-inspired music video for “Baby.” This isn’t the first time DaBaby has paid homage to the classic gangster film (check out the equally grisly video for his “Pony” video), but this time around the North Carolina rapper and Lil Baby give us some real Baby on Baby action and get tangled up with some mobsters.

The Daps-directed visual opens with an unappreciated Lil Baby toiling away in a dead-end job as a cook at a restaurant when an opportunity suddenly drops in his lap. His fate takes a turn for a better, or worse depending on how you look at it, when a finely-dressed mysterious mobster offers him the opportunity of a lifetime.

Lil Baby gives DaBaby a call to enlist his help and next time we see the two, they are rolling down a palm tree-lined street in a lemon-yellow convertible in Miami. 

And this is where things go downhill, as DaBaby rich deep voices takes over the flow. Lil Baby, the Manny shoe-in, stays back in the car with the duffle bag holding their precious cargo while a Tony Montana-esque Dababy heads to a hotel room to square up the transaction.

While Lil Dababy is outside ogling some melanated boo-tiful ladies, Dababy is chained up and being tortured with a chainsaw by a pair of mafiosos. Luckily, Lil Baby realizes his partner has been gone longer than he’s supposed to and comes to his rescue, saving DaBaby by the skin of his teeth. Lil Baby busts a few caps in the process, and the two walk away with the cash and the product.
