Jay Z Is Still the King, According to President Obama
No offense to whoever may be the next president of the United States (and quite possibly the president after that), but President Barack Obama's taste in music will remain unparalleled.
Throughout both of his terms, Obama has taken advantage of numerous opportunities to showcase his exceptional musical preferences, such as through hosting different artists at the White House and curating his own curated playlists. Most recently, the president decided to comment on the matter, and show love to some of his favorite rappers, during a conversation on Sway in the Morning.
“I think the young guys Kendrick and Chance are doing amazing work," he says during his recent radio appearance. "I love Drake and the girls love Drake. He’s, commercially, just doing great, and unbelievably talented."
While it is no surprise that his daughters help keep him hip, at the end of the day, Obama can't deny he's a huge fan of Jay Z.
"Jay Z is still the king," he continues. "You know, he's got a track record. Same with Kanye."
Yup. You heard it directly from Obama himself: Jay Z is still the king.
Take a listen to the president shouting out his friend Hov in the clip below.
