People Still Think There's More To Kenneka Jenkins' Death Than What's In The Medical Examiner's Report

Some continue to question her friends at the party and the hotel surveillance video.

Over the weekend, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office released the toxicology reports in the case of Kenneka Jenkins. Although the report showed the teen most likely died from hypothermia, which was exacerbated by high levels of drugs and alcohol, many people following the case are still not satisfied.

According to the coroner’s office,  there was a “therapeutic" level of a drug called topiramate in Jenkins' system.

"Alcohol and topiramate are synergistic. When combined, the effect of either or both drugs is enhanced. Topiramate, like alcohol, can cause dizziness, impaired memory, impaired concentration, poor coordination, confusion and impaired judgment," said a report published by CBS.

"Central nervous system depression, or impairment, combined with cold exposure can hasten the onset of hypothermia and death."

  • Some people felt the death was not an accident and questioned the friends

"Listen they were not her friend those girls and find out where those drugs came from sounds like prescription that belongs to someone...," wrote Marsha M on Facebook.

  • Others found the drugs found in Jenkins' system to be a red flag

  • The surveillance footage continues to be a topic of controversy

  • However, there was still a great deal of people who want the case to be let go

"There doesn't seem to be anything questionable about the M.E.'s report. Some of the comments I'm reading from people on here show a lack of understanding, education and reality. The only thing questionable are the circumstances leading her to her death, her associates/acquaintances and the part the hotel may have played," wrote Yapette C on Facebook.
