Jason Derulo Says He Spent $30,000 on Son Jason's 2nd Birthday Party
Jason Derulo celebrated the 2nd birthday of his son, Jason King, and the singer recently revealed that he spared no expense for the big day.
In a recent interview on an Australian talk show, the singer shared that he spent about $30,000 on the festivities in May, Derulo shared, per PEOPLE.
"That didn't look like a cheap party! How much did it cost?" host Kyle Sandilands asked Derulo of the party.
"It was pretty big. It was probably around $30,000," he shared.
Derulo posted some clips from the party on Instagram.
The Baby Shark-themed event featured a grand bounce house, a full playground and a ball pit complete with two slides. He also had a playscape built for his namesake, but he joked that he built it with his own two hands.
In an Instagram post about the party, Derulo wrote, “Happy 2nd birthday to @jasonking! Two years ago, you entered my life and brought endless love, laughter, and mischief,” the star captioned the post. “From the adorable chaos of the terrible twos to the heart-melting moments that fill my days, you’ve stolen my heart in the most craziest way. Today, we celebrate the incredible journey of your life, filled with wild adventures, and unstoppable growth. May your special day be filled with double the giggles, double the snuggles, and double the joy. You are our greatest blessing, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for our little shining star. Happy birthday, Bubba!”
Derulo shares the younger Jason with his ex, Jena Frumes.
In a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, Derulo shared that he and Frumes are committed to quality co-parenting. "We have an amazing relationship, and we don't care if we're confusing people about our situation because our situation is our situation."
"We love [our son] more than anything, and his wellbeing is really important to us," Derulo added.
"I'm really attentive of her wellbeing as well, and I want her to be good. I care about her a lot. We have an amazing relationship, contrary to a lot of people's beliefs."
