Cardi B Takes Politics Out Of Her Musical Collaborations
For as much as Cardi B’s into the world of politics, when it comes to music she likes to keep them out of the collaborations she does with other musical artists.
During a recent interview with The Spout Podcast, the Bronx rapper told host Tamara Dhia that when she does collaborations, she doesn’t care about the artist she’s working with’s relationships with others in the industry.
"I just sometimes do be afraid and everything because I’m the type of person that if I like you and I meet you and we do a song, I don’t expect, like, you to pick a side or anything," Cardi said after the host complimented her for “championing and collaborating with other women” in the industry. "I feel like you can work with whoever you wanna work with. Because at the end of the day, this is a business and you gotta look out for yourself always."

While Cardi may not draw a line in the sand over industry relationships, she did note that she expects her collaborators to leave their “fake b***h” behavior at the door.
"Just don’t shit on me or don’t show me you’re kinda like a fake b***h because that be breaking my heart," she said.
