News that Regina Hall and Common had fallen in love had the internet on tilt last week, taking one of the most eligible bachelors in Black Hollywood off the market.
But you can wipe your tears and reapply your mascara, ladies, because you may still have a chance yet. Turns out, this rumored new couple is just that — a rumor — and one of the stars cleared things up about their relationship status in a new interview on Wednesday.

Common appeared on the Breakfast Club and put the brakes on the supposed romance, even referring to Regina as his "buddy" (ouch). "That's just my people — that's just my buddy," he said during the radio interview. "We never were in that space — you know, that's just, like, somebody I care about as a friend. We worked together and right now I'm just single, so."
Um, does Regina know that?

"It was just like, you know, point blank just friends," he said, to further shut down the rumors. "She's funny, super cool, beautiful."
