Future Finally Opens Up About His Love Life Amid Marriage Rumors With Lori Harvey
The ups and downs of Atlanta trapateer Future’s romantic affairs have long been the subject of headlines and something he’s even alluded to in his music.
However, he wasn’t so quick to let the world in on his coupledom with media mogul Steve Harvey’s 23-year-old daughter, Lori Harvey. Although there’s videos of Future and Lori together all over social media, neither have officially confirmed that they are an item. The closest fans got was footage from their getaway trip to Jamaica for Lori’s birthday.
In his cover story for XXL’s Spring 2020, Future revealed that this secrecy around his love life has been intentional, however. The publication noted that Future shied away from delving too much into their relationship. When asked about the status of his love life, the 35-year-old offered that he’s just trying to take “[his] time with everything” that’s going on in his life in general. As for the level of scrutiny that comes with being in a high-profile relationship, Fewtch is unfazed by it all.
“It don’t bother me,” he told XXL. “You still try and find those different ways to keep it private but some way to give your fans little insights into what is going on in your life. Future acknowledged that there’s people genuinely invested in his relationships, so he doesn’t mind opening up a “a little bit.” But, he was adamant that “you got to save [the] majority for yourself and your partner.”
He made it clear there’s an established boundary for how much he’s willing to let the public into his personal life. “You have to protect your energy at all costs,” Future stressed the importance of maintaining privacy around his relationships.
