SZA Confirms Album With Tame Impala And Mark Ronson
Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker had a joint DJ set at last year’s Governor’s Ball Music Festival and during their set, debuted an unreleased collaboration track with SZA.
At the time, it wasn’t thought of as a big deal and certainly no one thought it would be anything more than a simple night in the studio. Well, it was much more.
During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the Top Dawg Entertainment first lady revealed she’s actually putting a whole project together with Ronson and Tame Impala.
“I listen to Stevie Nicks. I love classical jazz. I love folk. I love rap. I love Modest Mouse. I'm making an album with Tame Impala and Mark Ronson,” she said. “When you try to label it, you remove the option for it to be limitless. It diminishes the music.”
Not much more has been revealed about the rumored project. All we can say is that we’re all for it. After dropping her critically acclaimed Ctrl album, SZA’s creativity is ripe for even more of a blossom.
