Don't even try to tell Minister Louis Farrakhan about NBA or NFL teams making their players millionaires.

He's not having it.

Speaking at a recent Saviours' Day event in Detroit, the Nation of Islam leader compared professional sports leagues' draft systems as a form of modern-day slavery.

"We got bought and sold just like that... and that's what you do in sports," Farrakhan said, as reported by TMZ. "You run up and down the field, you show them how swift you are, how clever you are. And they’re sitting there watching you, timing you. 'That’s a good one, I’ll get him, I’m drafting him.'"

As far as Farrakhan is concerned, more basketball courts popping up in neighborhoods aren't helping change that mentality, either. If anything, he believes they're adding to that alleged thought process.

"Please don’t put up another basketball court thinking that you're giving back to the Black community... basketball courts are a training ground for a basketball plantation."

We wonder what NBA and NFL players think about Farrakhan's sentiment.

During the same speech, the outspoken Farrakhan didn't hold back his feelings about the flack that Beyonce' received from the media following her Super Bowl 50 performance earlier this month.

"She started talking all that Black stuff and white folks were like, 'We don't know how to deal with that,'" Farrakhan said, as reported by TMZ.

He also used the platform to rip former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani for his criticism of Queen Bey's performance.

"Look at how you treatin' Beyonce now. You gonna picket. You not gonna offer her police protection," Farrakhan continued. "But the FOI [Fruit of Islam] will."
