Queen Latifah Slams DJ Akademiks for Misogynistic and Homophobic Remarks
DJ Akademiks’s beef with Saucy Santana is all spice and nothing nice, and now, Queen Latifah is checking in to check the streamer/blogger about his constant misogynistic and homophobic commentary.
If you’re not caught up Akademiks offered his thoughts on City Girls’ new album, RAW, by poking fun at their low sales and claiming they were “completely over with.” On Sunday (October 29), Santana responded via his Instagram Story by clapping back, which led to a war of online posts that went back and forth.
Eventually, this led to Akademiks posting an emotional stream where he began crying and noting, in part, “I’m trying not to get canceled, but this s**t does bother me…I gotta sit here and just act like I don’t f**k with certain s**t. I would never like it. Just please.”

On Thursday, Latifah expressed her disapproval of Akademiks’ latest stream and past behavior overall, sharing a post on her Instagram Story that called him out.
“It’s crazy to me how DJ Akademiks is crying scared to say anything to Saucy Santana because he’s a gay man and he’s scared of getting ‘canceled,’ but has said some of the most outlandish, vile, disrespectful, and demeaning things to Black women with absolutely no fear whatsoever,” the post reads. “Brings me back to Malcolm X’s quote: ‘The most disrespected, unprotected, and neglected person [in] America is the Black woman!’”
Akademiks has disrespected and harassed a slew of Black women in his past, including Erykah Badu, Megan Thee Stallion, and Yung Miami, just to name a few.
