T.I. Finally Acknowledges Donald Trump's Election

He doesn't want to use the words "President Trump," but...

T.I. has been extremely vocal in his opposition to Donald Trump and everything he stands for throughout the duration of the presidential election. He even went as far as to apologize to the Obama family on behalf of the country.

While that opinion has not and will not change regarding the president-elect, the rapper has decided to refocus his energy on a different political front.

In a recent interview with TMZ, T.I. speaks on accepting the fact that Trump won, while also keeping an optimistic eye towards the near future, especially in regards to local elections.

"All of the people who are up in arms about it, myself included, we just didn't do enough in enough time to have things, you know, fall in our area," Tip says. "So now it's about focusing on, for one, how we keep ourselves out of harm's way, and how we unite for the next two years, because the next two years, there is going to be some more voting that has to be done, and some more people that need to be elected."

The reporter interrupts him, asking if he means to say in the next four years, but T.I. presses on that he's focusing on forthcoming local elections that will happen before the end of Trump's presidential term.

"I'm talking about Congress, Senate, local elections," he clarifies. "Local elections are the most effective elections. Those are the things that directly affect the people in the community."

He then goes on to say that he's accepting the fact that Trump won, albeit begrudgingly.

"All we can do is accept the changes that have been made to this country," the rapper concludes. "I'm going to miss Obama. We're going to have to make the best of what we got."

Take a look at T.I. discussing where he stands now regarding the president-elect in the video clip below.
