Judgement Day: Will Katt Williams Finally Face Consequences For His Multiple Assault Charges?

The troubled comedian appeared in court yesterday.

It seems as Katt Williams just majorly lucked out as he managed to avoid jail time in the gun and drug case which began with him allegedly beating someone with a baseball bat. Instead of spending time behind bars, he was sentenced to five years probation.

According to TMZ, the comedian pled no contest on Thursday in Hall County, Georgia, to charges of assault and battery dating back to March. The judge then sentenced him to probation instead of jail time.

Earlier this year, he was caught with guns and drugs at his residence after a bodyguard said the comic beat him with a baseball bat for refusing to "engage in criminal activity." When the police arrived at his home, they searched the premesis and found marijuana and several types of firearms.

Though he has avoided jail time, his probation comes with some pretty tight stipulations. Not only is he required to pay thousands of dollars in fines, but he has to undergo treatment and evaluations for anger management, substance abuse and impulse control. He is also legally obligated to stay away from the bodyguard who accused him of the crime.

In addition to all of that, he must give up all of the guns that were found at his home and the approximate $16,000 they took.
