Actresses Novi Brown, Ebony Obsidian, KJ Smith, Mignon, and Crystal Renee Hayslett portray the lives of a group of girlfriends going through life’s trials and tribulations on Tyler Perry’s Sistas. Let’s face it, viewers tune in weekly for the drama, whether it’s about their careers or men. Yup, the men are usually the bulk of what pains this group of friends, and it’s hard not to wonder what life for them would be like if they just gave in to being single for a bit: no situationships, relationships, maybe a date or two, but no feelings and no hanky panky.

Even Novi Brown, who plays Sabrina, said she wanted to see one of the women be single.

“Personally, I just want Sabrina to be happy and mind her business and live her life. I want her to make a decision about Calvin once and for all. It would also be cool as one of the sisters was single in my personal opinion because where’s that respective to write,” she told Her Agenda in an interview last year.” Like, where's that friend who doesn't always need a man, right? So I think Sabrina could totally be that girl since a lot of people feel she has the confidence.”

She has a point. Sistas is fictional, but all this relationship hopping, serial monogamy, and dealing with psychos is unhealthy. So, let’s consider a few more reasons why our favorite girls must be single.

1. Fresh Perspective

It would provide a fresh perspective, as Brown mentioned. It would be a nice change of pace and storylines to watch all the ladies be single, and even Fatima, if Zac continues on the path he has been on lately.

2. They Need a Girls' Trip

They should go on a girls' trip and connect. It would be cool to see what their friendships look like on a cellular level, without them always having to support each other's heartbreak.

3. Therapy is Necessary

When it comes to relationships, they’re always doing too much too fast and it’s time to enlist professional help to figure out why they’re constantly pursuing situations that don’t work for them. Or, in Danni and Sabrina’s cases, why do they insist on running a good guy away? We can throw Maurice into this mix, too, because if he weren’t so goofy about Q, then he and Sabrina wouldn’t be in the legal drama they’re in/

4. New Focus

The best things come along when you’re not looking. Seeing these ladies receive blessings in other areas would be great. Also, it would be cool to see some of their family dynamics.

5. They Need a Break

They keep jumping into stuff without healing. It’s about time they get some other hobbies, and if dating is a must, hang out here and there.
