Soulja Boy Escapes Jail Time, Promises Not to Touch Any Guns
Soulja Boy has yet another new reason to count his lucky stars.
As reported, the rapper just caught a major break in his felony gun case. He was arrested back in December due to firearms being discovered in his home during a raid, which was a direct violation of his probation stemming from a previous gun arrest.
According to TMZ, Soulja will avoid jail time, pleading "no contest" to the gun charges. He was originally facing up to four years behind bars and has since been sentenced to 5 years of probation and 240 days of community service.
Additionally, as part of the terms of his probation, the rapper has promised not to touch any weapons of any kind - including a toy gun or replica. He also has agreed not to make any threats, something that has gotten him in trouble on social media in the past.
Soulja also will be allowed to travel, as long as he clears it with his probation officer beforehand and it is directly related to work.
We hope Soulja Boy finally learns a lesson here and won't find himself back in a court room any time soon.
