Faith Rodgers Requesting R. Kelly’s Medical Records Be Pulled After Allegation He Gave Her Herpes
One of R.Kelly’s sexual assault survivors, who has made claims that he infected her with herpes, is now demanding that he turn over his medical records, including his STD status within the last five years.
As a part of a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed in May 2018, new court papers recently filed by Faith Rodgers are asking the disgraced R&B singer to release all documentation including any medications, diagnoses, and related documents regarding the artists sexually transmitted infection status, Page Six reports.
According to court documents, Rodgers also wants to obtain Kelly’s financial records, pay stubs, taxes, plane ticket receipts, hotel bills, phone records, and any other medical records dating from January 2017 through January 2019.
Thomas Farinella, who is representing Kelly says that, “The discovery demands requested are in the normal course of a civil action and [they] will respond to the pleadings as required by law.”
CBS News reports that Rodgers was in a relationship with the “I Believe I Can Fly,” artist for less than a year after she met him at a concert in San Antonio in 2017 when she was just 19 years old. She alleges that she was sexually assaulted, locked in rooms as punishment when she failed to please him, and that he infected her with herpes during the course of their relationship.
R.Kelly is currently incarcerated awaiting trial on sex crimes charges related six women and underage girls. He also faces a criminal case in Chicago for allegedly producing child pornography and destroying the evidence.
